Special dial indicator with a movable tip with adjustable stand in wood case.  Usually referred to as a Universal Dial Test Indicator or DTI and has a 32mm diameter dial. The dial indicator is a very precise instrument that measures small distances and angles and enlarges them to make them more clear to the eye. Ideal for general purpose machining and inspection applications. As the name "indicator" implies it will indicate to the user of the instrument what the naked eye cannot see.
